Careers Advice Services

I provide careers advice on a wide range of career-related issues for a great many of my corporate and personal clients.  Particularly recently, in light of the global financial crisis, many clients are very worried about the security of their jobs and indeed their companies.  They seek career support and advice from someone they trust will be objective and honest with them and with whom they’ll be able to discuss current concerns and explore options. 

I receive a lot of enquiries (and therefore clients) from Human Resource/Personnel Directors who are looking to make career support available for staff whose positions may be made redundant and whom they think would benefit from professional guidance.  I also receive a lot of career advice enquiries directly either from individuals who have lost (or are about to lose) their jobs, or whose companies are struggling or who simply want to take proactive steps towards securing a more interesting, challenging future. 

I am not a careers counsellor.  I do not use psychometric tests.  Rather I talk through issues with clients and help them clarify their own strengths, interests and options.   I also help clients identify any real or perceived barriers to them taking control, researching alternatives and developing a strategy of action.  I also help people gain confidence in their own perspective and, therefore, trust their judgment when assessing next steps.
