Life Coach Training Workshops
I receive a great number of enquiries from people who are exploring whether or not coaching may be a good career choice for them and who would like to train with me. Most people have researched the various training options via the Internet and are confused by the range of choices and their implications. Many training organisations give the impression that their programme and their qualification is the most valid, or indeed the only, legitimate choice available. Furthermore, most courses require a large financial commitment from their students, often before they have had a chance to determine whether what’s on offer is right for them. In my opinion, no one route to becoming a life coach is any more, or less, valid than another. I believe this will remain the case until a representative professional body regulates coaching that has responsibility for setting and monitoring standards of training and practice and which oversees the continued development and application of coaching skills.
The one-day workshop I offer gives people an opportunity to gain knowledge of the field, learn about approaches to coaching, practise coaching skills and interact with others who share a similar interest and differing experiences. The workshop is designed for people who:
Are interested in becoming a life coach and would like to learn about what it involves
Would like to explore how to use their strengths to be a confident coach
Have trained to become a life coach and want to learn more about working from a successful coach
Are currently training to become a life coach and would like to gain a wider perspective about the field
Would like an opportunity to interact with others to explore hopes/concerns/experiences about coaching
Work as a life coach and would welcome the chance to bounce ideas off other people in the field
The workshop takes place between 10 am and 5 pm on Saturday (dates available upon request). Each workshop has up to 12 participants to facilitate idea sharing and provide opportunities for learning from each other. If you are interested in attending, please click on one of the questionnaire links below, complete it and send it back to me. Your responses will give me information about your background, your experiences—if any—in the field, your expectations and will help me structure the day most effectively. The cost of the workshop is £250 + VAT. I will contact you with dates of the future workshops after I have processed the questionnaire.
